The Brewery Project presents “Now Here,” an exhibition of contemporary artists from Los Angeles organized by Thomas Muller, Margaret Griffith and Jamison H. Carter.

They write: “‘Now Here’ includes the work of eleven young artists trained at institutions outside of Los Angeles. While their pedagogical backgrounds are built entirely upon a different discourse than their peers completing programs locally, this exhibition proposes to diversify and enrich the contemporary art scene of young emerging artists in Los Angeles. With an influx of artists choosing to live here the face of the Los Angeles art world is changing and becoming diversified. From its inception Los Angeles has been a town of newcomers, whether for the fertile soil, the great climate, job opportunities or aspirations of stardom.

Los Angeles has emerged as a major art center and a place that is vibrant and vital for artists. The artists chosen for this exhibition have been drawn here for that reason.”
